Description

Build speed that holds up — Paper B is your pacing upgrade

ABOHNS (ABOTo) Written Boards/Qualifying Exam — Mock Paper B is designed to follow your baseline work (Paper A)
and push you into the skill that most candidates under-train: staying accurate while the clock is tight.

This is a strict, board-style timed sitting of 150 questions over 150 minutes — intentionally built as a
“half-length” block so you can practise tempo, triage, and consistency.
Your full exam-day goal is a long sitting (commonly planned as ~300 questions across ~6–7 hours), and Paper B helps
you start training the endurance and decision rhythm needed for that day.

Best timing: Sit Paper B after you’ve reviewed Paper A and patched the biggest gaps — usually 8–10 weeks out.
The goal is fewer time sinks, faster “easy points,” and calmer judgement on the harder stems.

What’s included

  • Mock Paper B: 150 board-style SBA/MCQ questions in a strict 150-minute sitting
  • Detailed explanations: convert misses into simple, memorable “exam rules”
  • Trap-proofing: common distractors and look-alikes that cost marks
  • Timing training: build a repeatable approach to hard questions without losing the clock

Why Paper B works

  • Endurance + accuracy: practise maintaining judgement across a long block.
  • Time-sink elimination: recognise patterns that steal minutes and learn when to move on.
  • Baseline → improve → re-test: a loop that reliably improves score stability.
  • Blueprint-aware breadth: mixed coverage to reduce “surprise gaps,” aligned with current direction.

Suggested high-yield workflow

  • Step 1: Sit Paper B timed. Mark items you guessed or spent too long on.
  • Step 2: Review explanations and write a Rules List (1–2 lines per miss).
  • Step 3: Reattempt incorrect/flagged items at 48 hours.
  • Step 4: Re-test again at 10–14 days to lock in durable recall.
